Why We Started Ohere
Nigeria's financial system wasn't built for its people. While 120 million Nigerians live in multidimensional poverty, traditional banks continue to serve only the wealthy elite.
We saw an opportunity—and a responsibility—to change this. Founded in 2023, Ohere Technologies emerged from a simple but powerful belief: access to capital is a human right.
After seeing countless talented Nigerians held back by lack of credit access, we decided to build the infrastructure Nigeria needs to transition into a credit economy.
